Today we went to the headquarters of
Levi's® XX in the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam.
We had an lecture form Miles Johnson one of the two designers
form Levi's® XX Vintage Clothing. It was very, very, very interesting.
The way that he described how they still use old method's to keep it original were fantastic. The history of the 501, all the changes, but still, it is the 501.
This Autumn Winter Collection they used two themes:
The Great Outdoors & The story of Ken Kesey and his bus Furthur
The Great Outdoors is a collection that tells a story trough products,
It is a collection inspired on the outdoor life: hunting, fishing, camping etc.
The story of Ken Kesey and his bus Furthur
is a collection that is inspired more on the 50', 60' and 70'.
The clothing has a more sharper silhouet then the Great Outdoors collection.
But both of them have the true authentic, vintage, historical feeling and touch.
And that was the message the team of Levi's® Vintage
want to spread with the clothing:
Levi's® Vintage: A celebration of history
